A kikoy (kikoi) / sarong is a traditional rectangle of woven cloth, wrap or sarong originating from East Africa. The Swahili fisherman integrated the Kikoy fabric as part of their traditional dress because of its cooling and comfortable nature in tropical climates. Today the kikoi is mostly worn not by the swahili fishermen but also by the Maasai and people from around the world.
The kikoy is inspired by the rich colors of the coastline, using old methods combined with new colorfast dyes. Let it be your companion at the beach, in the sauna, or during pick-nicks. Use it as a beach-towel, wrap-around, scarf, summer dress, table -cloth, scarf. Let your imagination run wild!
